Bradley Beal Dealing With Nerve Irritation From Back To Legs

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Nov 20, 2023 8:27 pm

Bradley Beal will be out at least three weeks with a back strain, but Shams Charania reports that the issue is also connected to a nerve complication in his legs.

"I'm told an assortment of issues has caused Beal discomfort and tightness in his back and, at points since the initial injury in training camp, Beal has dealt with nerve irritation from his back down to his legs," wrote Charania.

Beal has appeared in three games for the Phoenix Suns, averaging 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 28.5 minutes. Beal, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker have yet to appear in a game together this season.

As someone with a back broken in two places my heart goes out to these guys. The impact on the lower back around L4&L5 from basketball is really tough. It sounds like advanced sciatica.

That sounds like a nerve issue, either having been stretched out, or a disc in his back putting pressure on it. That's usually how you feel nerve pain down through your legs. Either way, it could keep him out a while.

Makes you wonder how much he will be able to play for the Suns in general.
