LeBron James' 'Patience Has Been Tested' This Season

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Jan 10, 2024 3:01 am

The Los Angeles Lakers have a somewhat disappointing record this season despite relative good health and play from LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Davis has played in 35 of 37 games, while James has played in 34.

Sources tell ESPN's Dave McMenamin that "James' patience has been tested" this season. But James is attempting to focus on maximizing his role.

The Lakers have one future first round pick available to them to trade at this point, which they could package along with the contracts of players such as D'Angelo Russell and Rui Hachimura.

The Lakers made a massive mistake in trading for Russell Westbrook in 2021, which wasn't rectified until the 2023 trade deadline. Sources tell ESPN that every member of the Lakers involved in the Westbrook trade, including James, will admit they misjudged that decision.

Of course it is Westbrook’s fault. Or it is on the coach. Or the bench. …

This Lakers team should be better than what the record shows. It's a veteran team with two Top 75 player of all time. One that is considered to be better than Michael Jordan. Has pretty solid supporting players. Is everything really on coaching?

Anyone asking Lebron to retire can’t name 20 guys better than him lol

I hate Lebron but he would be the best player on several teams right now-

Lebron needs more help from the refs and NBA to perpetuate his career. People ask how does he perform so well at age 39? Now you know. What else is going on that we don't know is the real question.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

MJ's age 39 season finished 8 games under .500 (21st of 29 teams) with Stackhouse, Laettner, and Hughes as the primary teammates

Lebron's .500 with a much better #2 teammate.

If Jordan and James are 1+2 (or 2+1), this seems about what you'd expect for W/L parity.

They can't put the ball in for him, but they sure can facilitate it. And that they are.
