The Milwaukee Bucks have registered interest in trading for Dejounte Murray, who is on the trade block with the Atlanta Hawks, sources tell Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report.

The Bucks have limited trade assets to send out in any trade following their acquisition of Jrue Holiday in 2020 and the subsequent trade for Damian Lillard in 2023.

Murray signed a four-year, $120 million extension with the Hawks during the 2023 offseason and was recently made available in trade talks.

Why is this even news?

I'm sure a report that the Bucks would love to have LeBron James is just as true.

Bucks have nothing to offer

Giannis, Lillard and Murray would be a super team.

Yeah go ahead, thin your depth out even more for the prospect of a super team. It's not like there are 10+ examples of this not working over the past 20 years.

Hawks trying to scare the Knicks into giving up more assets.

I disagree.

I call complete BS about the Bucks being interested in Murray. This is a writer pushing out a poorly/loosely vetted (if at all) rumor ion an effort to get views/readers. Logically, this makes no sense at all. Why would they want another smaller, ball dominant guard who is on a large contract? It leaves their team completely unbalanced, both on-court and off-court. Chris Haynes should have kept this BS in his head.

On the other hand, I think the Bucks would be interested in adding LeBron. In no way, shape, or form do I anticipate the Lakers would ever entertain such a deal unless they were getting Giannis back - which of course the Bucks wouldn't consider, and thus no deal could occur.

Both trades wouldn't happen, but the Bucks logically do not have any interest in acquiring Murray.

Right,

Knicks don't need Murray, but I wouldn't be mad at them for doing it. He can later be flipped in case a real star becomes available.

Bucks need to move on from Kris Middleton man. Dude always injured and the team needs some defensive help
