The Los Angeles Lakers are holding internal meetings to establish their criteria for the next head coach, sources told Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
After firing Darvin Ham last week, the team has yet to request permission to interview assistant coaches thus far.
Stein reported last week that the team does not anticipate being able to hire Ty Lue.
ESPN is also reportedly "increasingly concerned" about losing JJ Redick from its NBA Finals broadcast team.

Laker coach criteria.
1. Do whatever LeBron tells you to.
2. Accept abuse from LeBron when you fail at criteria 1.
3. Refrain from criticizing LeBron and project his failures onto other players.
4. Resist urge to bench LeBron even when you know he's dogging it out there.

Their criteria should be to get a team who can compete for a title. Oh wait...that throws the onus on them. Well nevermind....dumb idea.

They need to hire a guy who will:
A. make James focus on rebounding, moving the ball, and empowering other scorers on the roster
B. give Max Christie a much larger role
C. keep Davis at center
D. turn Hachimura into a 17-point scorer and a plus defender
E. empower Reddish to become a defensive role-player and
F. allow whichever All-Star player they acquire to become the focal point of the offense and go-to scorer.

You nailed it on all of these points. I would add that not only does Davis need to continue to be at C; he needs to be in the post where he's the most effective. I do not understand why that man is camped at the 3 point line. Defensively, teams are just playing 5 on 4 because AD is not a threat at the 3 point line.
