Jonas Valanciunas will not return to the New Orleans Pelicans next season, according to Michael Scotto of the HoopsHype Podcast.

Valanciunas is not seen as a fit on the roster next to Zion Williamson.

Brandon Ingram is also considered likely to be traded by the team this offseason.

Pretty close to my line of thought. There is a lot of talent on that roster just waiting for Zion to stay healthy for a season. If it was just JV I would understand. But it's also Ingram, Herb Jones, Trey Murphy, a rapidly ageing CJ, etc. I wonder what kind of offers would be out there for Zion. I look at how Porzingus bounced around the league, only to find the perfect situation in BOS. Teams are kicking themselves for giving up too early.... and now he's out again.

You never know for sure... but sometimes you know. I don't think it's going to happen for Zion in NOP.

Wait. Is this a story on Realgm by Michael Scotto, reporting on speculation and rumor made my Michael Scotto on his podcast?

A web content guy says JV isn't seen as a fit with Zion on.a podcast, and people here are commenting on it as if New Orleans said it. Attacking Zion as if he said it, and not a Podcaster who's site is dedicated to reporting unsubstantiated rumors.

Did they say why JV isn't a fit with Zion? Have they even played together long enough (actually in games where Zion was healthy) to determine this? I'm a big fan of JV and would love him on the Knicks.
