Rudy Gobert has been fined $75,000 for making an inappropriate and unprofessional gesture that questions the integrity of the league and its game officials, it was announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations.  The fine takes into account Gobert’s history of improper conduct toward game officials.

Gobert’s actions took place during the Timberwolves’ 115-107 loss to the Denver Nuggets in Game 4 of their conference semifinals playoff series on May 12 at Target Center.

For $25,000 more, you get to throw a towel at a ref, heat pack on the court, and skip mandated postgame interviews, without risk of a suspension because it’s the playoffs!

Rudy, if you’re going to do childish things that “question the integrity of the game,” at least get your money’s worth!

Selective fines no doubt. The NBA has no way to address the officiating. Simply too much money out there to cloud the better judgement

I watched this game and saw the gesture.

I remember Mutombo's finger wag, Reggie's throat cutting, etc. I understand the $$ gesture is in reference to fixing games and gambling, but it's silly.

Always hilarious when the refs literally prove him right and demonstrate it literally is all about the money. Referees are awful in this league, yet they are treated like they are untouchable and worshiped. It's pathetic. They aren't paid enough to care about game integrity.
