While it has been reported in a number of places that J.J. Redick is the most likely candidate to become head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports they are "nowhere close" to a decision.

Some reports have suggested that ESPN doesn't want Redick announced as the next head coach of the Lakers until after The Finals due to his duties broadcasting the series. 

The Lakers hosted James Borrego for a second interview this week and plan to have follow-ups with several other candidates.

Chris Quinn, Micah Nori, Sean Sweeney and David Adelman are among the other candidates publicly linked to the job.

The Lakers parted ways with Darvin Ham this offseason.

The media continues to act like we don’t already know lakers are gonna hire Jj and they’re gonna draft bronny. I hope lebron gets everything he wants so when the lakers fail miserably next year the media won’t have anybody to blame other then lebron and the dumb ass lakers organization for catering to him smh

the lakers know all the pushback

they want to make it sound like they're doing their due diligence but the simple fact is it's jj the podcast guy who has no resume whatsoever

If the Lakers were catering to Lebron they'd have Ty Lue as coach and would have kept Alex Caruso. You're just looking for an excuse to blame everything on Lebron lol, look at Jeanie Buss and Pelinka first.

So you’re going to act like they didn’t cater to him by trading the whole roster away for Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook? And ain’t not excuse lakers thought they were getting the Cleveland lebron system but since he can’t carry they’re scrambling each and every season to make up for the bad decisions that have ultimately led to a disappointing tenure within the lakers for their lebron era. Like I said I hope he gets everything he wants so when it all goes down hill like it does each and every other season there isn’t anybody left to blame but him. If you wanna look at palinka and Jeannie then how come lebrons threatening free agency to push his agenda? Make it make sense please
