Luka Doncic expressed his frustrations about the officiating in Game 3 after he fouled out with 4:12 remaining in the fourth quarter.

"We couldn't play physical," Doncic said when asked about the officiating. "I don't know. I don't want to say nothing.

"You know, six fouls in the NBA Finals, basically I'm like this," Doncic added, motioning with his palms up. "Come on, man. Be better than that."

"He's definitely got a bull's-eye on his chest," Jason Kidd said. "He's got to be able to guard and understand that we're there to protect him and help him if he does get beat. Again, he's carrying a load offensively. They are putting him in every pick-and-roll and iso. He's got to be able to play the game where he can rest on offense and let others carry the load."

If they called the offensive fouls he kept making he wouldn't have made it out of the first quarter. Biggest complainer in the NBA.

I agree... but they also don't call those on anyone, particularly not stars. The reality is that you can't try and take charges with 5 fouls. Those calls almost always go to the offensive player.

At least a couple of those fouls they should of found a way not to call them.. I hate like a foul where the ball goes out of bounds and the ref is like ok it was a foul but we just say off dallas or whatever and play through it and then if its reviewed you cant review the foul but only the out outbounds call taking away any ref digression

It's not the refs job to find ways not to call fouls. It's their job to call the fouls they see as equitably as they can. BOS is picking on Luka. It is Luka's job to not foul or even put himself in a position that it might look like a foul. A couple of those fouls were pointless. The last blocking foul was silly because he did set up early. That gave Brown time to change direction, forcing Luka to decide to watch Brown go by or shift to his right. The franchise player can't put themself in that position with 5 fouls. Just let Brown get two and try and get them back at the other end.

Luka made a mistake that he needs to learn from, which he won't do if he continues to shift blame onto the refs. He will be back here sooner than later.
