Warriors Headline Eight Teams To Pay Luxury Tax, 22 Teams Under Tax Each Receive $11.96M

The Golden State Warriors were one of eight teams to pay the luxury tax during the 23-24 NBA season at $176.9 million. The 22 teams below the luxury tax threshold will receive $11.96 million apiece.

• Phoenix Suns: $68.2 million
• Milwaukee Bucks: $52.5 million
• Boston Celtics: $43.8 million

• Los Angeles Lakers: $6.9 million

It probably doesn't sound like much, but it almost pays for an entire mid-level exception contract. The 22 teams should send the Warriors a nice thank you card.

Its a lot of money.. Teams run deliberately under the cap for this reason
