James Borrego will be among the candidates for the Detroit Pistons head coaching vacancy. Borrego has interviewed with the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers during this head coaching cycle.

Borrego is currently the top assistant coach of the New Orleans Pelicans. Borrego was previously a head coach with the Charlotte Hornets. 

Trajan Langdon, who was hired away from the Pelicans to run the Pistons' front office this offseason, overlapped with Borrego in New Orleans.

I'm sure a guy who failed in Charlotte would fail in Detroit too.

I know that there's a notion of thinking outside the box, but maybe, just maybe, that's not a good idea and instead trying to go with someone with an actual proven history of success at the job is a better way to go?

Have a feeling Bickerstaff will be under strong consideration for the Pistons HC job.
