The Orlando Magic hired Milenko Topic for a scouting role in their front office this past season, sources tell Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.
Milenko Topic is the father of draft prospect Nikola Topic. Milenko Topic has coached in Europe since 2015 after a 20-year professional career as a player.
“He didn’t really like coaching," Nikola Topic told Fischer about his father. "This scouting job, he’s having a lot of fun traveling and watching players.”
Nikola Topic is recovering from a partially torn ACL, which puts his draft position into some level of uncertainty. Some in the league believe the Magic would select him at No. 18 if he falls that far in the draft.
