Richaun Holmes has declined his $12.8 million contract for the 24-25 season with the Washington Wizards and has agreed to a two-year, $25.9 million deal through the 25-26 season. Holmes' contract for the 25-26 season is only guaranteed for $250,000 out of $13.3 million.
The Wizards acquired Holmes at the trade deadline as part of the Daniel Gafford trade with the Dallas Mavericks.

So he made 50k but has to wait an extra year for 200k. It’s like he made 30k ( due to loss of capital gains on delayed portion of his 24-25 salary) and gave up control of next year. If he performs well he is locked in without ability to play free agency. If he performs average or poor, they cut him. This deal makes absolutely no sense for him, does it??? I would keep distance from whatever genius agent this guy has
