Haha, please. This definitely improved the Kings, come on. You must be a Warriors or Lakers fan, don’t hate.
Despite being older, Derozan has been one of the most clutch and effective midrange scorers in the league. Dude will definitely help that club, no doubt.
Derozan > Barnes
He ought to be good for two more very productive years, at least.

He’s not a better defender than Barnes and although he’s much better on offense overall. Their spacing is off unless Sabonis starts attempting 3s. Teams will be able to help more than usual. I think they’ll miss the playoffs again.

How did Paul George get a 4-year for $212 million max while DeRozan, a year older, more clutch, and more durable, gets this? Now way PG is that much better.

Kings got worse. Barnes' 3 point prowess is critical for spacing in today's NBA that emphasizes the kick out for the open 3. Derozan is not a 3 point shooter.

The 76ers were so desperate that they were willing to sell there children to get P George who is often injured and rarely shows op during the Playoffs! Like Barkley said why gwy call him Playoff P because he has no impact on those games!

Demar is a far better player then Barnes! How many all-star games has Barnes made! The reason G State went after KD is because Barnes was terrible in the finals! I think he was 3 for 25 at one point!! The problem with the Kings is that they are too small and need a center and a business PF! They should move Sabonis to PF! They tend to get dominated on the boards and they also don't get any easy basket! DeMar will help them with this especially when the game slows down and in the 4th quarters!

The Bulls recieve ~> peanuts

Barns is overrated role player, there is a reason why Warriors got rid of him. He wanted money that he was not worth. Derozan is better, but not by much as he is not a 3pt threat and his defence is questionable at best.
DeRozan is not better than PG, but unlike Barns, DeRozan is a starter caliber player even on a fairly good team and on a bad team he can be 1st option and 2nd option on a average team and 3rd option on a fairly good one. Barns can't be that he is 1-2 slots below if not more and his time with the Kings was very telling about that.
DeRozan best move would've been to take a big pay cut and join a team like the 76ers and be a 4th option if he wants a chip, but he clearly doesn't so it is what it is.
Paul George has higher value, because he can score 2-3 three pointers in a row and change the game in a crucial moment. Demar might score 2-3 two pointers which definetely doesn't have the same impact, not to mention size, defence, spacing, decision making, IQ, passing and etc.
Derozan and PG are not comparable no matter what the stats look like - they played on far different teams having different roles. Individually and as a team player PG is far better and him getting 4yr 212m being injury prone 34yr old player who is questionable at best in the playoffs shows that very clearly.

Did y'all forget there's 2 sides to ball?
Not only can PG13 actually hit a 3 on high volume and efficiency (38.5% career versus 29.6%), he's actually, despite the slight decline, still a plus defender. Demar operates heavily in the mid range and doesn't space the floor. He's not nearly as plug-and-play as PG13 into any team.
Also, did y'all forget how bad Demar was in the playoffs? He was basically shipped out of Toronto despite being a fan favourite because he'd consistently disappear in the playoffs. Since then, he's only been to the playoffs once with SA (where he played well), and the once with CHI (which he shouldn't have made...if the entire Raptors team didn't fold to his daughter screaming during their free throws). He shot 41% in that CHI PO series, and was 0% from 3 in his last 3 PO series.
It's excruiatingly difficult to build a contender with a wing who doesn't even attempt 3's.

With a 140 mil difference, I take DeRozan every day. It’s sad that he isn’t the best fit in Sacramento, but he is a baller. If I wanted to contend, I’d make him a point guard.

Wrong. There are 3 sides to the ball: the bench side where PG looked at the court, defending nobody and scoring none. His last 5 years of availability (64%) are worse than Anthony Davis (66%), whose nickname is Street Clothes. You don't build squat with a guy who spends more than 1/3 of the time riding the bench. No way he is worth that much more money than DeRozen got.

How the **** did Paul George and his wonky knees get 200+ mil for 5 years while DeMar only gets 75mil for 3 yrs, both are 34-35 yrs old separated by months is Paul George really that much better than DeMar right now? George doesn't play a lick of defense anymore, so it comes down to threes, is hitting threes on a better percentage is worth more than twice the contract he is being paid by the Sixers? Seems he hustled Morey and got his bag, damn.

He wanted job security of a 3 year deal, I don’t think the money was as important. He wants to climb all time scorer leader board… that’s more important to him than winning a championship or making more money I believe.

Yup. If you look at effective field goal % (both 2 and 3) PG is a bit higher for the last 5 years, but if you also take FT into scoring consideration with DeRozen shooting 3 more per game for the last 3, it's almost a wash. I'd take the guy who has been available 87% of the games in the last 5 years over one who is 64% for that much less amount of money any day.
Furthermore, DeRozen has a higher Assist to TO ratio; saying PG has a higher basketball IQ is just funny talks without evidence.

He wanted to go home to California I'm assuming.
Also, he was traded for Kwahi. Toronto wasn't trying to dump him.
