Steve Kerr Says All Warriors But Stephen Curry Are In Trade Talks

The Golden State Warriors have aggressively tried to upgrade their roster, even as the team undergoes a transition. That includes being active in trade talks. And those trade talks include everyone but Stephen Curry from the Warriors side.
"There's very few players in the league who are not talked about in trade discussions. Steph Curry is not being discussed in trade talks. Everybody else is," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said in a recent radio appearance.
Kerr was addressing a rumor that said Golden State might be willing to trade Jonathan Kuminga in a deal for Lauri Markkanen of the Utah Jazz. Kerr's point was that to acquire good players, you need to be willing to trade other good players.

So they're not really close to a Wiggins trade, but they kept him out of the Olympics why, just in case? What a crock.

Remember Canada beat USA for 3rd at the Fifa World last year. Although this is not the same Team USA, its also not the same Team Canada so less help from Wiggins is better for Kerr. Imagine Wiggins playing well against USA. Lol

Warriors players don't have the same value outside of the Warriors's system. Most of the players that left ended up being bad trades for the other teams, since forever. Warriors struggling to make good trades is not new last few years.

I wonder what the trade market looks like for Draymond.

expect him to get thrown out in the 1st quarter so he doesn't have to deal with the mess on the floor

I don't believe NBA teams can prevent a player from participating in the Olympics. And even if they could, GSW would want Wiggins to get the reps.

But GSW have kept Wiggins out. It was announced as such.

Yes, teams get blamed for this regularly. I can see why LAC would want to hold Kawhi out, for instance. But I don't believe that's the story in this case. I don't think Wiggins wants to play. He certainly hasn't looked like he wanted to play for Canada (or even GSW) in the past. What we do know is that teams can only restrict players from playing due to injury, which doesn't seem to be the case here. Wiggins played on the last day of the season for GSW. My guess is that Wiggins asked GSW to request he be held out, rather than to look like a flake to his country. They did him a solid.
This is what your article says about it.
We many never know exactly why Wiggins was ruled out. While NBA teams can withhold players under contract from international play due to a pre-existing medical condition, they can’t otherwise prevent a player from competition, and given the NBA’s commitment to the Olympics overall — it’s been the ultimate international marketing event for the league since the Dream Team held centre stage in Barcelona in 1992 — having teams pressuring players not to participate would be frowned upon, according to league sources.
Unless it comes out that he has a lingering injury, Wiggins is staying home because that's where he wants to be.

The article also said Wiggins was training and ready to attend training camp and then Dunleavy called Rowan Barrett and said sorry we're going to pull him out. Wiggins just played for Canada in 2021 in the Olympic qualifying games in British Columbia.

Yes, but as the article clearly states... without a prior injury, a team has no authority to pull him out of games. If Wiggins wanted to play it would become a legal issue and the Players Association would step in. Wiggins seems OK with it.
And Wiggins didn't "just" play for Canada... 2021 was three summers ago.

Sitdown kid.. you don’t know past history of Canadian NBA Players being restricted to play in the Olympics. Mark Cuban and Mavericks did it to Steve Nash before because Team Canada didnt have the capacity to insure Nash for the amount Dallas wanted.

Ah, it's an insurance issue... thanks for clearing that up.
