Mike Muscala Plans To Retire

Longtime NBA center Mike Muscala is planning to retire. Muscala played for 11 seasons in the NBA. He finished last season with the Oklahoma City Thunder.


For his career, Muscala averaged 5.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. In addition to his two stints with the Thunder, Muscala also played for the Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Washington Wizards and Detroit Pistons.

Enough talent to acknowledge role players can make a great career by accepting a minor role on a team.

Height is something that you cannot teach

MM is 6'11", teams will always have a place for someone that tall, even with limited skills and athleticism

My basis of comparison is completely unhinged because I wouldn't call someone who stuck in the league for over a decade a scrub? Okay, I'm alright with that.
