Team USA's win over France in the Olympic gold medal game averaged 19.5 million viewers across NBC and Peacock.

The game peaked with 22.7 million viewers.

The number represents the most-watched gold medal game since the 1996 Olympics.

It was also the most-streamed game in the Olympics across NBCU platforms.

This was one of those games that literally creates basketball fans. so proud of france for developing the talent to be able to compete with America

FIBA rules allow for a better product and more of an every possession matters atmosphere with a ton less foul bating. Hoping the NBA continues it's trend of less foul calling and flopping because these games were extremely fun to watch.

NBA is so boring cinpared to FIBA BASKETBALL...

I just don’t like the bs foul drawing being a gatekeeper for offensive efficiency. Refs just need to be able to say, “FOH with that bs” half the guys doing it don’t even like it, but they all say hardens efficiency and success and know that’s what wins games
