That’s the best his agent could do?

Just googled Celtics' roster and it looks like they already have 15 guys under contract. So maybe have to cut someone to bring in Walker, and maybe want him to earn it at camp if they're gonna do that.
But yeah seems like some team would give him a guaranteed minimum.

They only have 14 guaranteed contracts. Others are 2-ways and exhibit 10s

That's a pretty good deal for the Celtics. As far as Walker? I would be googling "NBA player agents" right about now.

Spurs gave up on this guy and let him go for nothing, former first round pick BTW. He can't play defense and shooting is inconsistent. That's why the Celtics will be his 3rd team (LAL, BKN) in 3 years if he can make the team.
Stop blaming his agent. When you're good, you get all the phone calls - you don't need an agent to make them.

I mean.. it’s relatively rare to see a guy with his experience sign an exhibit 10, no? He averaged 10 last year. This trajectory is reminding me of Marshon Brooks.

This is odd for his experience level. How do you average those stats and get a deal made for undrafted children from overseas?

Scouts and coaching staff doesn't look at stats to judge a player - they look at how they actually play on the court - this isn't fantasy basketball. Look no further than Russell Westbrook for an extreme case where a guy put up historic numbers - but nobody wants him - I think he's going to be on his 7th team in 7 or 8 years. He just plays selfishly to pad his stats.
LW IV is still getting opportunites because he is super athletic and so the potential is always there. Take a look at a guy like Dante Exum. Extremely high lottery pick, athletic freak, can't shoot, can't play D, can't finish. You see him take his first 3-4 dribble and you'd think he's a superstar, but not much substance beyond that. Just a matter of time before teams stop giving him a chance.

Good pick up for Lonnie. He just has to show hes a good locker room guy. Probably wont have to play a minute if signed and may get a ring.
