The Detroit Pistons signed Javante McCoy to an Exhibit 10 deal, reported Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
The team waived Sam Peek and Devon Higgs.
The Pistons also signed Tolu Smith to a camp deal.

What is the strategy with signing a player to a small deal and then waiving him the next day? Do you retain their rights or something to that effect?
