Aaron Gordon becomes eligible to sign up to a four-year contract extension with the Denver Nuggets on Friday. Gordon is represented by agent Calvin Andrews

“I really love this organization,” Gordon said at the team’s media day. “I love the players on this team. I love the coaching staff. So I hope we get it done. It seems like it’s moving forward in the right direction. So I’m excited. I’m excited hopefully to be extended and to stay with this organization.”

The Nuggets acquired Gordon ahead of the 2021 trade deadline and then signed an extension in September worth $92 million over four seasons. Gordon has a player option for the 25-26 season.

“Hopefully we have some productive talks with his representation, and we’re able to find a deal that we’re both satisfied with,” general manager Calvin Booth said. “He’s been an integral part of what we’ve done. And we’d like to keep him here for a long time.”

Tough one Gordon fits well with the nuggets but they let a shooter go because they wouldnt pay.. Gordon cant shoot can defend decent and is atheletic i think thats more replaceable than KCP was so what will they pay him I am guessing he wants 30mil per year as a starting position but geez..

Well, I'll make this simple. Last season Aaron Gordon had the 2nd highest eDiff (+9.6) on the Nuggets. Jokic was obviously first (+22.7). KCP was 5th (+3.5). The previous season Gordon was also 2nd (+9.8) while KCP was 7th (+0.9) and the highly overrated Brown was 10th (-1.1).

These teams and coaches have a pretty good understanding of the value of these players. It has since become clear that Brown isn't worth anything near $23m. KCP is closer, but not quite. Aaron Gordon will get taken care of.

Whats gordons plus minus when Jokic is on the bench.. Yes he fits well with Jokic but I think similar players who fit come cheaper than Gordon will. Also KCP was not allowed to shoot enough 3s .. I still think I can get Gordons skill set easier than KCPs..

Gordon guards 5 positions. That might be the hardest skill to find in the NBA. And even though he isn't much threat from 3pt, you can't turn your back on him because as soon as you do he's at the rim.
