Caitlin Clark has been named Rookie of the Year for the 2024 WNBA season, receiving 66 of 67 votes. The other vote went to Angel Reese, who was the No. 7 pick in the draft.

"I am incredibly honored to be named Rookie of the Year, but more than that, I am grateful to everyone that supported me throughout this past season -- my family and friends, my teammates, the Fever organization and everyone that cheered us on all season. I am so proud of what we accomplished and so excited for what the future holds," Clark said in a statement.

Clark led the WNBA in assists with 8.4 while also averaging 19.2 points and 5.7 rebounds.

"The fun part is I feel like I'm just scratching the surface," Clark said. "I know I want to help this franchise get even better, help my teammates get even better, be better for my teammates. I know there's a lot of room for me to continue to improve, so that's what excites me the most."

Whoever voted for Angel Reese is such a hater. Denying Clark from becoming the unanimous rookie of the year is so petty.

Angel Reese really is the Andre Drummond of the WNBA. That team prioritizing her even when Cardoso was fully up to speed after missing pre season.

*Literally 1% of the vote went to the other player that broke all time WNBA records as a rookie*

"Hurr durr who is this hater and troll that didn't vote for Clark!"

I guess the voters weren't impressed by an interior player setting records greatly "aided" by shooting under 40% talking very few 3 pointers. And just to be clear, the good interior players in the WNBA shoot over 50%.

The one who didn't vote for Caitlin Clark needs to have his voting rights revoked.

Angel Reese shot 40% shooting from inside 5 feet. How the **** do you do that?

You guys don’t know the wnba - Caitlin is good but someone won an MVP as a rookie - Caitlin isn’t that good. The hyperbol and ignorance is out of control for her. Many a night Boston was the best player on her team and that’s per Clark….

Wouldn't that be something a great leader would say? She has a very humble approach to the game which seems to be just who she is and why she's winning so many fans over - that and the 22+ records she just broke for rookies and non rookies (some records that no other player has done).

As for a rookie winning both MVP and ROTY, are you sure you're seeing that fairly? Parker was an incredible player but you can't honestly be saying that she would have won MVP as a rookie if she played against A'ja and the season she just had. If you are, then you either a) don't really know the WNBA either, b) just being caddy to gaslight others.

No. Caitlyn is the player Parker was as a rookie -

And honestly I love Clark but she is oddly good and overrated at same time. I have seen too many games where Boston was better and the best player on the court was someone not named Clark or Boston- the wnba is deep - it’s not just Clark and Reese -
