Warriors Considered Selecting Bronny James At No. 52

The Golden State Warriors considered taking Bronny James at No. 52, sources tell ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. The Warriors liked Bronny's skill set and had him on their draft board.

The Warriors ultimately decided to respect the wishes of LeBron James that Bronny fall to the Los Angeles Lakers' selection at No. 55. The Warriors also had interest in trading for LeBron James ahead of last season's trade deadline.

As the second round of the NBA draft began in June, Rich Paul reportedly told teams interested in selecting Bronny James not to pick him and that he would play the 24-25 season in Australia if they did.

Bronny James is on a standard NBA contract with the Lakers.

Of course... But, it's not like they're going to admit to the league, the fans, or Bronnie that they were only considering him as a means to land his father.

Kind of impressive the fame your father has to have to make a team considering drafting you a story. You know considering teams consider drafting pretty much all available players.

I think someone should have done it, too. Don't want it to happen? Make Lebron and the Lakers either use their first rounder or trade. But, you can't upset the self-anointed "king."

Steph was god awful on defence va serbia they could of subbed him out improved on defence and got the pts elsewhere if not for the MVP steph wouldn't even have been in medal contention or able to have two good games cause he sucked the rest of the time..

Literally nobody believes this. ESPN will do anything they can to prop Bronny up because they're trying to make him their next meal ticket.

Nobody was drafting Bronny other than the Lakers.

Expecting to see more articles this year about the 52nd pick from a weak draft than a MVP candidate like Jokic or SGA

Just shows how agents are too great an influence on the game. Plenty of teams should have picked Bronny for the purpose of swapping him to the Lakers for a couple of their next available unprotected 1st round picks. You don't draft Bronny to get LeBron, you draft Bronny to get LeBron to pressure Laker management to cough up the assets to get Bronny.

People, who know more than I, say LeBron's agent would cause their client players to blacklist any team who dared such a move. Have one of those players on your team, maybe they don't resign when their contract is up.

If my team wanted a player higher in the draft order than they had a pick available, they'd have to trade up in the draft. The Lakers? No, they don't have to do that.
