Mikal Bridges will wait until after this season to discuss a contract extension with the New York Knicks, sources told Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Bridges will become eligible to sign a two-year, $72.5 million extension on October 1. Bobby Marks reported last month that Bridges is unlikely to sign that extension.
Bridges is currently restricted by the league's six-month rule where players are limited to four total years under contract during the first six month after a trade.
Bridges had two years left on his deal when he was acquired by the Knicks.
Bridges will be eligible for a four-year, $157 million extension next offseason.
