The Sacramento Kings have agreed to trade Jalen McDaniels and a second round pick to the San Antonio Spurs. McDaniels is on a $4.7 million expiring contract that the Spurs will waive.

The Kings open roster flexibility for a potential addition later in the season.

San Antonio is using their $8 million room midlevel exception to acquire McDaniels.

ya little confused by the spurs, not sure they need young (late) second round players right now. Maybe there's some behind the scene dealings and sac is actually paying the waive but San Antonio is just taking it on the books to somehow save sac money in the end by helping them avoid some sort of tax. Seems likely but its speculation with no knowledge.
