Spurs Waive Jalen McDaniels

The San Antonio Spurs waived forward Jalen McDaniels. The Spurs acquired McDaniels in a salary-clearing trade from the Sacramento Kings earlier in the week. San Antonio also acquired a 2031 second-round pick and cash in the deal with Sacramento.
The Spurs will eat just over $4.7 million in dead money on their books for this season after McDaniels clears waivers. McDaniels will be an unrestricted free agent, unless he's claimed off waivers by another team.
