Kawhi Leonard will be out indefinitely to start the LA Clippers' 24-25 season as he rehabs from inflammation in his right knee. Leonard is currently in the midst of a rehab process in hopes of sustainably allowing him to play through the season.

Leonard has not participated in any on-court contact during training camp.

"He has not been a part of what we've been doing on a daily basis," Clippers assistant coach Brian Shaw said after Wednesday's practice. "I know the company line has been that we're going to be patient with him, so he's doing everything that he can to rehab it and strengthen that knee on his own with our medical staff. And we're just dealing with the guys that we have [available]."

Imagine if had retired after the 2019 championship run with the Raptors? I feel like his narrative would be 100% different. The last 5 years have really damaged his legacy.

When he has played he has looked fantastic and that is the problem he doesnt come back and look toast he comes back and mostly looks like the best player in the nba or top 3 at worst but then get injured again its ridiculous.. He has probably been over catious to extend his career but unless he plays a lot this contract he isnt getting another big one.. Someone would sign him for sure but not for a bit contract

Why? He’s being paid max contracts to play 40 games a season. Only a fool would turn down that money. You probably thought Lonzo should have retired too. Maybe they just aren’t quitters…
