LeBron James Plans To Play In Every Game This Season

The Los Angeles Lakers play their first back-to-back set of games this weekend. The Lakers beat the Suns at home on Friday, then host the Kings on Saturday night. Veteran forward LeBron James said he plans to play both ends of the back-to-back, but added that he plans to play even more.
"Yeah. I plan on playing every game. We’ll see what happens. You never know. We’ll see what happens if I don’t," James said when asked if he'd play in the second night of the back-to-back set.
Lakers coach JJ Redick said the team will plan "in real time" as to the availability of players.
"How do they feel when they get up Saturday morning?" Redick said about players and facing the Kings on Saturday.

Not happening, he's only played every game in 1 out of 20 seasons and has averaged less than 60 games per season in 6 seasons as a Laker.

Hes not playing 82 games i agree but although technically true e averaged under 60 it's being disingenuous not to point out that during those 6 seasons 2 of the years were shortened because of covid. 2019/2020 became a 75 game season he played 67 game and 2020/2021 became a 72 of which he only played 45. So his average games played may be under 60 but the % of games played equals out to 60 in an 82 game season...again I'm not saying he will reach 82, or that's he's even been healthy most yrs just the number needs slight context. Now with that said it wouldn't surprise me if he played over 70 since he was able to play 71 last yr but it's hard at least for me to imagine anything over say 74 max.

I am sure it's not going to happen. Injuries, bumps and life stuff could happen at anytime that keeps him out. I think his overall point was to make it clear he won't just automatically sit out a back to back if he feels healthy enough to play.

Which should be the plan for every player not dealing with chronic injuries.

"Regular guy" is basically 75 years old at his desk job.
