Joel Embiid was not happy that details of the Philadelphia 76ers recent team meeting leaked. Embiid countered the reports about the meeting, while also adding a message for whoever leaked the details to the media.

"Whoever leaked that is a real piece of (expletive). But even then, we talked about a lot of things. I don’t want to get into the details, but that whole thing probably took 30 seconds," Embiid said.

Reports came out earlier this week that in an hour-long meeting that involved players and coaches, that Tyrese Maxey called out Embiid for regularly being late to team activities. Maxey said Embiid's tardiness impacts everyone, from coaches to players. 

Embiid also said he wasn't late as often as portrayed in reports, but that he appreciates his bond with Maxey and the Sixers point guard wanting him to be better.

"That’s the relationship we have. Nothing malicious. I like when people are telling me what I’m not doing good, what I need to do better. Even though that part (the tardiness) maybe happened once or twice, when I wasn’t playing," Embiid said about his relationship with Maxey.

Good to see Embiid prioritising the right things, like chastising the media instead of conditioning and winning basketball games

It was Maxey who leaked the details.

Embiid is such a loser. Just wants to get paid, talk ****, and have everyone kiss his ass. Go trust the process you joke

Embiid and PG13 couldn't deserve each other more.

It's a shame that Maxey and the other players must suffer through their mess.

Just a hint: keep a close eye on Papi Oubre's body language.

The day he displays some clowny move again at court will be the day we can tell locker-room stuff is getting better.

as a non-philly fan, i'm so happy they made this guy their franchise player

To me this seems like he's not learned a thing. Making excuses and blaming others for things instead of just accepting the criticism completely.

I couldn't care one way or the other because before all this no one could convince that the 76ers were magically a Top 3 team despite how much ESPN wanted me to ignore the facts. Only dude in this situation I feel for is Maxey, because he seems like a straight nice dude, and PG13, because he seems like a nice dude on as well. That and he and his agent found a sucker in Philly.

That was my first thought as well. Nothing needs to be said, just start showing up early.

You can bet ur ass it was Nurse, he's had a reputation for making lockerroom things public...that being said, he probably did it because he thinks Joel wouldn't do a thing to change it. Now that everyone knows there's more pressure on him to fix it, probably why he's mad lol

This would seem to make the most sense.

No Embiid your wrong saying "Whoever leaked that is a real piece of (expletive)." The correct assessment is "Whoever Is late constantly and inconveniences others at their job is a real piece of (expletive)."

Oh. You're right. I shouldn't post on an internet forum. I'll show myself out.

You can't really blame the coach if he did leak it. They have one of the highest payrolls in the league with 2 superstar and a 3rd that's borderline one in the making. They're dead last in the standings. Someone has to rattle the tree or he's getting canned. Sometimes you have to shake things up, a wake up call of sorts but yeah the injuries don't help either
