JJ Redick Not Sure LeBron James Should Play All 82 Games

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Dec 3, 2024 2:05 pm

Following the Los Angeles Lakers loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday, discussion turned to LeBron James. Specifically, there were questions if James is tired after playing in all 21 games so far this season. James has a stated goal of playing all 82 games. That's not something Lakers coach JJ Redick is sure he agrees with.

"I don't know that's in the best interest of him and us if he does that, but if he's feeling well and feeling good, then he should play," Redick said. "But we obviously want to manage that as best we can."

As for James, he said he's not moving off his goal...yet.

"That's a goal, but we'll see," James said. "It's something I ain't discussing right now."

After a six-game win streak to start November, the Lakers have dropped five of their last seven games. Los Angeles has fallen to eighth place in the Western Conference over that stretch of games.

How is it possible that these young guys can barely play 5 games in a row, but this is even a discussion for the nearly 40 year old?

LMAO. Oh, you don't think so, JJ? He's 40 and his play on the 2nd game of back to backs has looked more like Bronny James than Lebron James.

JJ Redick Sure LeBron James Should Not Play All 82 Games

I just moved the 'not' into a different part of the sentence and now fits much better with what JJ actually thinks.

This is what an 82 game exhibition season gets you.
