Bronny James is expected to play in his first G League road game for the South Bay Lakers on Thursday against the Valley Suns.

The 20-year-old was recently out for several weeks due to a bone bruise in his left heel. The team was cautious with James' return as it was the same leg that required knee surgery back in high school. 

James is averaging 8.7 points and 3.0 rebounds in the G League.

This is a great step for his development. Start treating him like a normal(ish) player and have him play in all the South Bay games, not just the home ones to call him up to the LA roster more. He needs continuity and stability to maybe grow into an NBA player.
