Bulls Likely Willing To Take 2nd Rounders Back In Trade Of Nikola Vucevic

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Dec 26, 2024 4:24 pm

The Chicago Bulls are not necessarily seeking a first round pick back in a trade of Nikola Vucevic. The Bulls would be willing to take back multiple second rounders for Vucevic given the reluctance by teams to trade first rounders.

Vucevic is owed $20 million this season and $21 million next season. Vucevic is averaging 20.7 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 31.8 minutes in 29 games this season.

There's not a significant amount of momentum, however, on a Vucevic trade at this time.

Vucevic has been one of the best centers in the league for nearly a decade. He’s having a stellar season. Any team that lands him will be pleased with his production for $20 million.

Sure. Unless they care about defense...

If we take a second rounder then they will try to get a player. Otherwise it is a moronic move.

They will take seconds and expirings i assume.. They want to lose because they have a top 10 protected pick.. Also Vu is overpaid.. If he was on 12mil he still isn't worth a first rd pick but he 100% would be traded right now.

how is he overpaid

he makes less than John Collins, Tobias, Isaac, Capela, Bruce Brown, KCP, Lonzo

10M less than iHart, Jerami Grant, Pool, Murray, Vassell, Middleton

13M less than Quickley

14M less than Ayton

He's only overpaid if you base it on past performance

But for what he's doing now -- top 3 efficiency leaguewide and still putting up 20-10 -- he's fairly or even underpaid

The problem is no one expects this to continue
