Marcus Smart has been diagnosed with a partial tear of the proximal extensor hood of his right index finger, which he sustained during the Memphis Grizzlies’ game against the Atlanta Hawks on December 21. Smart will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
In 18 games this season, Smart is averaging 9.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 21.2 minutes.
