As the February 6th NBA trade deadline approaches, the New Orleans Pelicans are prioritizing a trade of Brandon Ingram, sources tell ESPN. Ingram and the Pelicans have discussed an extension, but those talks have repeatedly been unable to gain traction.

Ingram left Excel Sports in November and has since signed with Klutch Sports as his representation. Earlier this month, it was reported that the Pelicans had interest in signing Ingram to an extension worth approximately $40 million per season.

In 18 games this season, Ingram is averaging 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 33.1 minutes. Ingram is a one-time All-Star, making the team during the 19-20 season when he first joined the Pelicans from the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Sacramento Kings and Utah Jazz are among the teams previously linked with Ingram.

Ingram plus two firsts for Bronny and one second rounder. Who says no?

LeGM vetoes trade based on bronny being in there and because it’s lebron, he’s a tool.

Fine. 3 1sts and 2 swaps plus Ingram and Herb Jones for Bronny. 4 1sts if you throw in Quincy Olivari.

Ingram could be a good fit in Indiana - who are struggling and could use another weapon for Halliburton - if the Pels are willing to take back Myles Turner. Extending Turner could open the door to moving out Zion, which the Pelicans seem to be leaning towards.

Turner can play at the 4 or 5 - next to Yves Missi giving them an elite rim protecting defense - and also receive a combo of young players such as Bennedict Mathurin, Nembhard, Nesmith, Jarace Walker. Pretty much whomever they can agree on.

This would give New Orleans a lot of player depth to make future moves next summer while they rebuild the team without Zion and BI. They are set at PG with Murray and have one more season of CJ McCollum's contract.

At an NBA worse 5-28 and the ability to add a top flight rookie like Cooper Flagg or Ace Bailey the Pelicans may as well truly blow it up and get as much young talent as possible.

Sixers are the trade - nobody really wants to resign him so they arent going to get much - morrey likes “talent” so might take it as a roll of the dice

Pacers have been bad sure but your saying they give up decent and cheaper players for a potential rental of ingram or pay ingram some sort of max contract is insane... Ingram has not been traded or resigned because he wants more than he is worth..

I couldn’t imagine any team actually wanting to trade assets for, and then give a massive extension to, Brandon Ingram.

How does that work financially? Are you giving up Maxey, PG, or Embiid to get him?
