The Los Angeles Lakers will not change their starting lineup of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura and Max Christie following their acquisition of Dorian Finney-Smith.

"We're in a good spot with our starting group right now," Redick said. "So, he'll play and he'll come off the bench, and like I've told you guys several times, I want consistency with that group, but I'm not going to be stubborn and locked into something if it's not working. But it's working right now, and [Finney-Smith] is a guy that can fit in very easily with any lineup and any sort of roster."

Finney-Smith makes $14.9 million this season and gives the Lakers a boost as a three-and-D wing.

"Dorian gives us another defender and he's a guy that has guarded multiple positions throughout his career," Redick said. "He's worked to become an elite spot-up, catch-and-shoot 3-point shooter. So, just excited to have him."

Everyone’s hyping up this trade, but DFS is going to average 4 ppg on 33% 3PT.

Why would he do that when he averages 10ppg on 40% 3p shooting? If they limit his minutes that could fall I guess.. I think he will eventually be moved to the starting line up because his defence is just much better than anything rui can provide.. They could also do with upgrading max christie so max can come off the bench.. Although vando gabe reddish jhs should all be trade candidates it could be a struggle.. Rui would also potentially be on the trade block..

his role is going to be similar to the mavs very rarely involved in the main action and be more of a spot up player, the opposite of what happened in Brooklyn
