Brooklyn Nets forward Cam Johnson has been the hottest name on the trade market for the last few weeks. Now, Johnson is dealing with an ankle injury, but that's not expected to have an impact on his trade value.

Johnson was injured on the final play of the Nets win at the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday. Postgame x-rays were negative, but Johnson was on crutches after the game.

Johnson is averaging a career-high 19.5 points on 49.6/43.6/89.5 shooting splits. The 28-year-old forward makes $22.5 million this season, with just over $43 million owed to him on the final two years of his deal through 2026-27.

The Nets are believing to be looking for a combination of first-round picks, young players and expiring salary in trade talks for Johnson. Brooklyn has already traded Dennis Schroder and Dorian Finney-Smith in deals ahead of the February 6 trade deadline.

He stepped on his teammate's foot and twisted his ankle, which has nothing to do with being injury prone...

Consistently getting injured is the definition of injury prone. There is only so many times guys can have an "unlucky" injury before you figure out that's just how they going to be. Some guys bodies just don't hold up to an NBA season.

Dude no, that's not how it works. Cam Johnson has played 32 out of 34 games up to this point, until he stepped on a teammate's foot and twisted his ankle. That is not injury proneness, which refers to recurring type injuries...this is a common injury that can happen to anyone if they twist their ankle after landing on a foot. It could happen to Mikal Bridges who has played every game in his career, and he could start missing games.

Dude no. When it happens once, it’s bad luck. When it happens every year, it’s injury prone. That’s what it means. Everyone knows it which is why The nets haven’t been able to cash in o host hot season. Literally everyone in the nba knew this was coming

Bill. Literally everyone is prone to an ankle injury if you land on someone else's foot. That has nothing to do with Cam.
