LaMelo Ball left the Charlotte Hornets' 112-107 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second quarter due to a left ankle injury.
Ball, who did not return to the game, stepped on Jarred Vanderbilt's foot as he backpedaled down the court.
Charles Lee had no updates on Ball's status after the game.
Ball has been wearing braces on his ankles this season to protect against injury.
