Warriors Exploring Trade For Kevin Durant

The Golden State Warriors are exploring the possibility of trading for Kevin Durant from the Phoenix Suns, sources tell Jake Fischer. The Warriors are also internally discussing the possibility of bringing both Durant and LeBron James to the team, though the logistics of that scenario is highly unrealistic.

The Suns have signaled they do not plan to trade Durant before the deadline, but they are believed to at least be listening to pitches. Durant left the Warriors in 2019 to sign with the Brooklyn Nets and then was traded to the Suns in 2023.

The Suns are attempting to acquire Jimmy Butler by sending out Bradley Beal, but a trade involving those particulars has been in the works for weeks without a viable path. The only mechanism available for the Suns to acquire Butler appears to be by trading away Durant or Devin Booker.

The Warriors have also pursued their own trade for Butler, as well as Zach LaVine, who was traded to the Sacramento Kings by the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.

The NBA is turning into a circus right now. Jimmy Butler drama, Luka trade, now KD back to the Warriors along with maybe LBJ? What is happening here.

The Warriors are inevitably going to strike out here which I think will lead to Curry being dealt this summer and the Warriors deciding to rebuild.

Circus? More like soap opera.

Young love. Marriage. Divorce. "Getting back together."

It's daytime TV 24/7.

Why would KD want to come back? He left because he wanted to go the LeBron route, taking on two more franchise players/hired guns, win one easier, then claim he is the man. He couldn't do that with Curry because Curry did it with his own team twice without that LeBron route. KD was the hired gun. That's the whole reason he left.

KD is on record explaining why he left the warriors in multiple interviews and podcast episodes.

The networks are pissed at the ratings with the amount of money they just spent. Silver is getting desperate to find the right storylines. KD back to GSW checks a whole lot of boxes.

The Suns team makeup is terrible. They were decent with CP3 but since they got Beal instead, it's 3 players that need the ball to be effective who also can't really run an offense. With that in mind, I see KD staying put and Beal being dealt. The problem is Beal's trade value is at the floor atm so it would be crazy not at least not listen to offers for KD.

is it any more of a circus/soap opera now than when any of these random scenarios that popped into my mind happened?

The most famous player on earth doing a TV show and saying the line "taking my talents to South Beach"

The Banana Boat photo

Blake Griffin implying they locked DeAndre Jordan in his house with a chair to undo the Mavs UFA signing

Earlier:
The world's best player retiring to play baseball... possibly because his father was murdered... possibly because of a secret gambling suspension

Bird and Zeke doing a presser to convince the white media/fanbase that IT1 isn't racist

Magic announcing on live TV he'd become one of the first global celebrities to contract HIV

The then-world's greatest scorer schilling a book where he claimed to bed 20K women

Anyone remember Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries?

Rodman and his antics? Him dating Madonna was equivalent to the modern day Kelce and Swift. His 1998 Vegas bender.

The #2 overall pick in 1986 (Len Bias) dying of a cocaine overdose 2 days after being drafted?

Also lebron went to a 30 win cavs team and a 30 win lakers team and KD went to the 73-9 win warriors. If lebron took the easy route why did kd take lol he did win both finals mvps though over steph
