Mavericks Optimistic Anthony Davis Will Avoid Surgery On Adductor Strain

The Dallas Mavericks have optimism that Anthony Davis will be able to avoid surgery on his adductor strain. Davis is out indefinitely and a recovery timetable has yet to be announced.
Davis suffered the injury in his first game with the Mavericks following his trade from the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Mavericks and Davis will be "cautious" in deciding a return date. The Mavericks are also currently without Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II.

As a Suns fan, that nickname has already been bestowed on Bradley Beal. Who is currently out because of soreness in his big toe.

I'm glad he's going to avoid surgery. Missing multiple weeks to "recover" only to come back for what will most likely be a game, a game and a half, is a much better plan.

I would shut him down for the season and give him an extended recovery period.
They have to protect this investment hard.
