Brad Stevens went on record saying he is not a candidate to become the next head coach of Indiana University. Stevens is a native of Indiana who left Butler University to become head coach of the Boston Celtics in 2013.

Stevens became the Celtics' head decision-maker in 2021. The Celtics won the NBA championship in 2024.

Indiana announced last week that Mike Woodson will step down as head coach of the Hoosiers at the end of the current season. 

"I thoroughly appreciate being a Celtic and love the people I get to work with every day," Stevens told Field of 68.

Stevens has a dream gig that everyone aspires to. Coaching college would mean 24 hour days again, and maybe even a million or two less per year.

Why would he go from the Boston Celtics to college? Makes no sense unless they severely overpay him.
