Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards did not play in the All-Star Game mini-tournament due to groin soreness. Edwards not playing was a surprise, as no pregame announcement was made that he'd be out.

Following his team's loss in the semifinals, Edwards said he might have played if they had a longer warmup before the game. The Wolves All-Star also said that his groin has been bothering him for a little while, but that he doesn't anticipate missing any time when Minnesota returns to play.
