I know what we are all thinking.
Yes, it likely is fake. But, in the 2% chance this is not a Spur shutdown to tank for the 1st pick ALA 1997 when they shut down DRob to tank for Duncan... then I hope he gets well soon.

SAS has already won 10 more games than NOP and Utah. If they were willing to go to this extreme to tank for the draft, they would have done so well before this point in the season.

Insiders have been saying this was in play for awhile. But, I am not saying this is faked as blood clots if real can be very serious.

you have to submit medical records to the league when you put a player on IR and it gets reviewed by their own medical team to make sure its legit. teams have been caught in the past submitting fake injuries. so if this is fake, the spurs will be penalized and made publice

Robinson broke his foot and had surgery.

Whoa, I did NOT see that coming. Good for the Spurs long-term (probably, as long as it's not a chronic condition), too bad for the NBA and fans in the short-term.

They also would not have traded for Fox at the deadline, which was a clear "start winning now" move.

This isn’t something that would make up.. It’s life-threatening. His career is over if they get rid of it and another one appears…

≈30% of those that have medical blood clot have a repeat blood clot
The medications thin the blood to a dangerous point
An electric shaver is needed as a small nick from a standard razor can result in a cut where the blood continues to flow out

https://www.nba.com/heat/news/heat-waive-chris-boshNBA had ruled the illness a career ending injury, but Bosh had a clot in his lung, which is more serious than having in the leg per sources.

Guys, I have a strong feeling he will be okay.
Blood clots can be serious. But, they can also be harmless.
We do not know all the details here. But, we will not understand this until years or decades when the truth of the matter is released (if ever).
