Luka Doncic Spent All-Star Break 'Getting Mind Off Basketball'

Luka Doncic spent the All-Star break away from basketball as he continues to process his trade from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers. Doncic has been an All-Star every season except for this one and when he was a rookie.
“Honestly, I was getting my mind off basketball a little bit,” Doncic said Wednesday. “But, I’m just excited to come back and play. I missed a lot of time. I’ve never missed this much time. So, it’s something new to me. But I was just excited to get back to playing.”
Doncic sat out Thursday's game to manage his calf injury. The Lakers lost at home on Wednesday to the Charlotte Hornets. Doncic is averaging just 14.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 26.7 minutes since joining the Lakers.
