Joel Embiid was angry when details of a November team meeting in Miami became public and attempted to identify a possible leak, sources tell ESPN. Embiid's tardiness and lack of professionalism was called into question with Tyrese Maxey one of the individuals to challenge him.

Embiid and Maxey have since patched up any lingering tension.

Embiid commented on the report at the time and expressed his frustration.

"Whoever leaked that is a real piece of (expletive). But even then, we talked about a lot of things. I don’t want to get into the details, but that whole thing probably took 30 seconds," Embiid said.
