Celtics-Lakers Has NBA's Highest Non-Christmas Regular Season Viewership In Seven Years

Saturday's win by the Boston Celtics over the Los Angeles Lakers was the most-watched non-Christmas Day regular season game in seven years. The game averaged 4.61 million viewers and peaked at 5.3 million viewers.


The Celtics defeated the Lakers 111-101 with Jayson Tatum scoring 40 points to go with 12 rebounds and eight assists, while Jaylen Brown scored 31 points.


The game was Luka Doncic's first at the Celtics since his trade to the Lakers. Doncic faced the Celtics during last year's Finals as a member of the Dallas Mavericks.

But I was told that the NBA ratings were in a free fall, and that nobody watches the NBA anymore, and everyone is fleeing because the all star game sucks or something. what happened?
