The Minnesota Timberwolves were not willing to include Jaden McDaniels in a potential deal for Kevin Durant before this year's trade deadline, sources told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

The Wolves instead focused packages around Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo.

The Wolves are expected to pursue a trade for Durant again this offseason.

Naz Reid drew trade interest from the Suns, though the Wolves are looking to sign Reid to a long-term deal.

The trade would be Jaden McDaniels and Julius Randle, not McDaniels alone. Durant is a great player, but he is old and has proven time and time again that you can't just put him on a team and they will dominate. It takes time to gel. He is also old, 36, meaning you got him for a very limited time. I don't think the value of Durant is high, so I don't get why they would not pull the trigger on that trade and get a more balanced roster. Maybe because Julius expects a big paycheck.
