New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson's absence from a sprained right ankle could sideline him a bit longer than expected. Brunson isn't expected back until late-March or early-April from the injury.

New York said Brunson would be re-evaluated from the injury in two weeks, after he was hurt on March 6. However, reports are that this is a three- to four-week long recovery time for the Knicks point guard.

The Knicks have gone 2-2 in the four games Brunson has missed due to the sprained ankle. Miles McBride has started in place of Brunson during his absence.

We’ve known this for a long time. They said he’ll be re-evaluated in two weeks. That means he does nothing on that ankle for two weeks. And then they test the ankle after two weeks. If all goes well, then he starts working out, practicing non-contact, and practicing with contact. That’ll take another week. That means the earliest he comes back is March 28 at Milwaukee. Knicks have an easy schedule until then.
