Minnesota Gophers Hire Colorado State's Niko Medved As Head Coach

The Minnesota Gophers have hired Niko Medved away from Colorado State as their next head coach. Colorado State lost to Maryland in the second round of the NCAA tournament on a last second shot after defeating Memphis in the first round.
Medved, who is a Minneapolis native and attended Minnesota, will replace Ben Johnson.
Last season, Colorado State earned a First Four berth, where it blew out Virginia 67-42 before losing to Texas.
