Grizzlies Hired Tuomas Iisalo, Noah LaRoche On Assistant Coach Salaries Above $1M
The Memphis Grizzlies hired both Tuomas Iisalo and Noah LaRoche as assistant coaches under Taylor Jenkins last offseason on salaries above $1 million annually. Iisalo came to the Grizzlies after his run as head coach of Paris Basketball, while LaRoche's background is as a player development coach and with his consulting work for the offensive system the team implemented this season.
"Both of those guys got seven figure salaries as assistants, which you know that's a pretty big [salary]," said Tim MacMahon.
While Iisalo was elevated to interim head coach to replace Jenkins, the Grizzlies parted ways with LaRoche at the same time as Jenkins' dismissal.
Ja Morant wasn't happy with the Grizzlies' offense and he was previously upset that Blake Ahearn was let go last offseason. Morant worked most commonly with LaRoche this season.
