Dylan Harper has declared for the 2025 NBA draft, leaving Rutgers after his freshman season. Harper is the projected No. 2 pick in the draft.

"I'll remember all the life lessons this season," Harper told ESPN. "The ups and downs and good and bad. Staying leveled."

Harper averaged 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.4 steals while shooting 33.3 percent on three-pointers and 75.0 percent from the free throw line.

Harper's game has drawn comparisons to James Harden.

"NBA teams saw I am an all-around player," Harper sad. "I can do whatever it takes to win. Whether it's score, defend or facilitate. Anything coach needs me to do."

I struggle looking at him and Bailey and going you 2 are top 5 in this draft and you couldn't even lead your team to a winning record in the Big 10. Maybe it's me...

I'll preface this by saying I didn't watch very much of him or Rutgers this year; however, saying the following while you lost a decent bit more than you win is kind of funny.

"NBA teams saw I am an all-around player," Harper said. "I can do whatever it takes to win. Whether it's score, defend or facilitate. Anything coach needs me to do."

In their defense, that Rutgers squad had very little going for it outside of Harper and Bailey. Rutgers wasn't built like a B10 team and was never going to win many B10 games.
