The “incident began” the previous time down the court, where Stewart pushed an off-balance DDV to the floor, tried to swipe the ball, and punched him in the back as he headed back down the court.
And of course, Stewart decided to later punch DDV in the junk.

2 games (not days) feels a little light, but it seems Silver doesn't have the same lust for long punishments that David Stern had. Maybe that's not a bad thing and it keeps the players happier.
I've read so many posts about how Gobert was a (. . word starts with a p. . ), for not defending his teammates, but a one game suspension is half a million dollars for RG. I'd be reluctant to defend my teammate if it was going to cost me half a million or double that if 2 games. Even if you are rich, that's a fine many people would prefer to avoid.

Gobert was in there but had his back turned and was walking away when it began. He also got right up on Stewart when Stewart got his first tech... But this is the NBA, so protection wasn't really necessary either. This issue is solved if players hold their own teammates back instead of trying to hold back their opponents.

I was amused by Gobert in the previous possession.
After Stewart did those things to DDV, Rudy came up to Stewart to put an arm around him to talk to him about it. Stewart pushed him off and started pointing at him, and Gobert just had a confused look on his face!

For what? He got in someone's face (I think it was Sassers), but nothing he did merited a multi game suspension. Shoving someone after having his balls grabbed should be forgiven. I think Stewart should have gotten more. I'm not a mini fan, that's just what I saw.

Pretty soft considering the degree to which the wrestling match spilled into the crowd. Dan Gable would be proud of these guys for the takedown.

DiVincenzo put his elbow in a 19 year olds throat and body slammed him into the crowd because his teammate had his pannies in a bunch after of a normal basketball foul. Divincezo initiated the whole fiasco on his own!
And y’all are telling me he did this because he was scared to confront Stewart? and because Beasley was talking trash after hitting 5 threes?
Lol Minnesota Timberpuppies truly are the softest program in basketball!
AE was right, Jimmy Buckets was right, KG was right. Keep up the good marketing lies, but Y’all will never win a championship

I saw the elbow, which was in response to a shove. Did he body-slam a Piston into the stands form his back? That part I didn't see. Very impressive if he was did.

Yup. David Stern and we're looking at multi-game suspensions and probably 5 for Stewart. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. Fights are somewhat rare in the NBA, but if there are a few more, Silver might need to dial it up a little.
