There was frustration within the Denver Nuggets' locker room over the team's commitment to the defensive end of the court, sources told The Athletic.

In particular, Nikola Jokic had been frustrated over the team's approach to defense.

The Nuggets are ranked 20th in defensive rating on the season.

The Nuggets fired Michael Malone on Tuesday, elevating David Adelman to interim head coach.

General manager Calvin Booth was also let go.

Lol, bros acting surprised... What did you expect to happen when you traded away all your decent defenders (KCP, Bruce Brown, etc.) and "replaced" them with the likes of Deandre Jordan, Reggie Jackson, Dario Saric, Vlatko Cancar, and Russel Westbrick LMFAO.
A backcourt of Murray/Westbrick/Braun is literally the worst defense you could possibly imagine. The frontcourt with Jokic and MPJ is not a world-beater either. The only person on that team who can play at least some defense is Gordon.

The front office and the coaching has been a suicidal debacle ever since they want the championship. They have been rightly fired.
